Kelley, Crispino and Kania, LLP was organized as a law partnership in 1980 by attorneys David P. Kelley and Joseph R. Crispino. Attorney John F. Kania became a general partner in 1985. In 2003, Attorney Carl J. Sokolowski began an "of counsel" association with the firm.
The firm is a general practice law firm offering legal services to individuals and businesses in many areas of practice. Our office is conveniently located at 133 Main Street in downtown Southington next to the Southington Post Office.
Meet the Attorneys
Attorney David P. Kelley, born on July 6, 1941, received his A.B. Degree from Tufts University in 1963. He obtained his J.D. from the University of Connecticut and was admitted to practice before all Connecticut Courts in 1966 and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. He is the founding partner of the firm.
Attorney Kelley is a former Town Attorney for the Town of Southington, Connecticut. He has also represented Southington Savings Bank (now TD Bank) and the Southington Water Department. He is a past president of the Southington Lions Club.
Attorney Joseph R. Crispino was born on April 24, 1949 and received his A.B. Degree from Georgetown University in 1971. Thereafter, he obtained his J.D. Degree from Catholic University in 1974 and was admitted to practice before all Connecticut Courts. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Attorney Crispino is a past president of the Southington YMCA and has served on the Board of Directors of the Hospital of Central Connecticut. He is also a past president of the Southington Kiwanis Club.
Attorney John F. Kania was born on April 3, 1953. He received his B.A. Degree from the University of Connecticut in 1975. Thereafter, he obtained his J.D. Degree from Suffolk University in 1980 and was admitted to practice before all Connecticut Courts. He was been admitted to practice before the Federal District of Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Attorney Kania is a past Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Southington. He is also a past president of the Southington Lions Club and has served as a director of the Southington Day Care Center.
Attorney Carl J. Sokolowski was born on June 11, 1929. He received his B.A. Degree from Yale University in 1960. Thereafter, he obtained his LLB from Yale University in 1963 and was admitted to practice before all Connecticut Courts. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Hartford County Bar Association.
Attorney Sokolowski served as Probate Judge for the Town of Southington for 23 years. He is a former Southington Town Attorney and is the current Historian for the Town of Southington. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Connecticut Health Alliance.
